Arrival to Krakow

Krakow is one of the most beautiful, magical, and intimate medieval cities in Europe. Krakow is the second-largest city in Poland and the ancient capital of the historic Kingdom of Poland. It is considered one of the most stunning cities in all of Europe boasting some of Poland's most stunning architecture. According to he Daily Express (UK), Krakow is in the top ten safest cities in Europe.

Getting to Krakow is very straightforward. It has very convenient road and rail connections to Europe

  • By Train: Kraków Główny (Krakow Main Train Station), the city’s main station is served by trains from most Polish destinations, as well as from a few cities from neighboring countries (Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava, and Kiev). The station has an excellent location, within walking distance from the old city (a 10-minute walk from the main square).

  • By Airplane: Kraków Airport in Balice (John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice) is located 15 km from the city. It is modern, easy to navigate, and compact. Arrivals and Departures are both within the same terminal building which is designed for a quick getaway. After baggage claim, under favorable circumstances, you can reach the city center in 30 minutes.

    Reaching the center of the city:

  • By train: Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multi-storey car park and connected with the terminal building by a footbridge. The airport train from John Paul II International airport arrives to the city’s main station, very close to the old city.

  • By buses: Krakow Airport is served by three regular bus lines: 209 and 300 and one night line: 902. These are agglomeration bus lines.

    By UBER or BOLT: Using UBER or BOLT application, it is very convenient and affordable to travel in Krakow. The price from the airport to the center of the city fluctuates but is about 70 PLN (16 EUROS).

Krakow has a very comprehensive network of high-quality buses and trams. Metro is not available here. All necessary information are included in the municipal transportation company (ticketing and timelines).

In the city center, there are many hotels, in all budged classes, within walking distance from the conference venue. Each participant can easily book a hotel that meets their expectations. Additionally, in the accommodation section, LOC presented the hotel reservation option.
